St. John, New Brunswick

Just a few family notes before we continue blogging the cruise. Dayne's girlfriend is on the east coast again. She was in North Carolina, but has saved the last few days for time with Dayne. He went down to meet her at the train station in Washington. She goes back on Tuesday. Dayne has to work her in, between his new job. He got a job at the hospital where I work. It was supposed to only be part-time, doing research work for a doctor, but now they have him working full-time. He is splitting his time between the research position and working with patients at the front desk for the Low Vision Center. He is liking it, but he is tired by the end of the day. And, I'm not sure if they complimented him or insulted him, but at a staff meeting this week, the program director told him, "You're just like your mother."
We know it is taking awhile to get through this cruise when we are only blogging every few days. Well, there is a bright side...at least we aren't making you sit through the 600+ pictures we took. ha ha This is the 'Readers Digest' version.
Now, on with the cruise...
Next, we went to St. John, New Brunswick. It was a really nice day. We decided not to do an excursion. Rather, we just walked around enjoying the city. We did a little shopping too.
We spent some time just relaxing in King's Square.
Taking in the surroundings...

And, feeding the birds Pringles around the fountain...

When we returned to the ship, we went to Johnny Rockets for burgers and shakes. The waiters were singing and dancing to YMCA in this pic. It was alot of fun...and the burgers were delicious. A bat joined the snake, elephant, and alligator in our stateroom that night.

I am sure that was a compliment to Dayne!
I didn't know Urbane makes the rolls. Good for him!
